 We are in Hammerfest, which is considered to be the world's northernmost town. We have self-financed and even built our one clubhouse, which is regarded as the heart of our club.
The house ( "Kåken") is located in the coast and is one of the closest neighbors to Statoil and Hydro's LNG plant, "Snøhvit".
The weather can devastate pretty much and it is perceived as the purest hell when storms from the Arctic turn over land.
Construction of "Kåken" in "Rossmolla" outside Hammerfest town (3 km), started already in 1987 - 1988, and several of our members have been involved since its inception, then the "Hammerfest motorcycle club".
"Kåken" has everything we need, that is, bar, workshop, accommodation and a very good kitchen.
The club currently has 10 members. Most runs Harley`s, but among the members there are some "japscycles" also.
We organize several activities throughout the year, for example, listing parties and motor bike day in Hammerfest. Our goal is that all the "bikers" shall have a good time with social activities! |
